Leaf & Rusher® was established to create a line of skin care products for the most discerning clients in the world. These individuals demand results; they don't need a merely pleasant cream or lotion. Working with our clients, listening to their questions, observing their responses to our clinical trials, has helped us to develop what we firmly believe to be the most effective skin care line available.
During their collaboration, Dr. Leaf and Rand noted that many of their most worldy, high-profile patients and clients were not getting optimal skin care from the confusing variety of products on the market. Two years ago, they initiated their clinical research, culminating just recently in the new Leaf and Rusher® Skincare line of products.
Dr. Norman Leaf
Dr. Norman Leaf attended University of Chicago Medical School. After graduating 3rd in his class, AOA Medical Honors, he interned at the Stanford Medical Center and there was exposed to the wonders of Plastic Surgery, particularly reconstructive work being done on babies born with cleft lips and palates and other congenital deformities. He returned to the University of Chicago where he served his general surgical residency, his fellowship in Microsurgery research, and his graduate training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In 1973 he returned to California, where he became chief of Plastic Surgery at Kaiser-Permanente Hospital in Hollywood, with particular interest in the Cleft Palate Clinic. At the same time, he began to participate in the training program at UCLA, working with medical students and Plastic Surgery residents. In 1975 he opened his office in Beverly Hills, his practice becoming gradually more involved with esthetic rather then reconstructive surgery. He has continued to practice in Beverly Hills to the present day, becoming widely known for his expertise in Cosmetic Surgery of the face and body. He participates still in the UCLA Plastic Surgery training program as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery.
In 1996 Dr. Norman Leaf created Solutions Skin Care Medical Clinic, in response to the need for more accessible, non-invasive skin-rejuvenating treatments. At that time, this was a wholly new concept in esthetic medical care. Here, a variety of esthetic medical treatments were safely and expertly performed by Registered Nurses, Esthesticians, and other highly trained, non-physician personel. It was at Solutions that Dr. Leaf first began to work with Rand Rusher RN, an expert in esthetic skin care and Botox and Collagen treatments.
Dr. Leaf is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is the author of numerous papers in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and has presented many surgical papers at local, state and national meetings. He has been recognized as one of the Best Plastic Surgeons in the World by W magazine, appeared on many local, national and international television shows, and served as Chairman of the AMA Physician's Advisory Panel for Motion Picture, Television and Radio.
Dr. Leaf currently has a busy cosmetic surgical and skin care practice in Beverly Hills offering a wide range of surgical procedures as well as laser, injection and skin care treatments.
Rand Rusher
Rand Rusher is an advanced practice registered nurse with more than 15 years clinical experience in all specialties relating to surgical and dermatological medicine. While at the University of Southern California Norris Cancer Hospital and Research Center he achieved national recognition and certification from the Association of Operating Room Nurses for his outstanding knowledge and skills. His credentials include certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, member of the Oncology Nursing Society and membership in the International Nursing Honor Society.
Rand has received certification by Inamed, formerly McGhan Medical Corporation for his experience and skillful collagen application techniques. Further, he has instructed doctors, nurses and pharmaceutical company representatives in proper administration techniques. In addition to peer recognition, W Magazine named Rand in its "Black Book" of World's Best addresses for his clinical skincare practice. He has been similarly acknowledged in Angeleno Magazine and The Glow Show on the Style Network. Most recently Rand has appeared as a skin care expert on a variety of TV shows such as Rachel Ray and Extra.
Rand currently has a busy skin care practice that offers a variety of treatments, including collagen, BOTOX® Cosmetic, skin analysis, and other skincare treatments. At Solutions Skincare Medical Clinic, Rand began to work closely with Dr. Leaf, resulting in the creation of the Leaf & Rusher line of skincare products.
