An important part of the research conducted by Leaf & Rusher^® has focused on treating both the surface and sub-surface layers of the skin. Typically, skin care products are applied only to the surface of the skin, but this addresses only a fraction of the areas of concern. In fact, 99% of those products are either removed by the environment or wiped off during the course of the day or night. Our research has shown that the effectiveness of active ingredients, like vitamin A and C, is vastly improved when allowed to reach below the outer surface of the skin.
